Default Volvo QL Trim Tabs and Downeast boats.

Does anyone have the QL trim tabs on a downeast style boat? The question I have is do I need the 450's alone or the 450's and the 300's on my 32' boat? My boat is on the boarder for the factory recommendations. I was wondering if anyone is using them and what set up they have?

I would think just one set of the 450's would work fine. I've installed them on a 30 footer and they are very reponsive. I'm not sure how they'd work on your boat.

I have a set on a 28' Northern Bay. They work great. I only have one set and also saw larger downeasts with only 1 set of the 450's.

That's what I was thinking. My bow doesn't need that much trimming. I want it when people move from side to side.

I cannot speak for a downeast hull but they are very responsive tabs and I love mine. I have the smaller ones on a 27'er
