Default Yamaha 225 hp 4 stroke outboard motor

Today I was told that Yamaha parts such as internal engine parts were made especially for each region of the world.I live in Australia and was told that some parts I was to purchase in the USA are different from parts made for Australian motors. I am rebuilding my 2002/ 225hp 4 stroke and see that parts in the USA are cheaper than here in Australia. Can any one tell me is this true.

Yamaha does their parts diagrams based on model number. There are some foreign motors that have different model numbers, and thus different parts. You can view the Yamaha parts diagrams and order OEM parts for cheap at http://www.BoatNJetski.com.

If you can find your model # in the parts diagrams pull down then the part #s on the diagram will be correct.
