Default Edgewater 265ex

I'm lookinig to purchase a used 2006 Edgewater 265Ex. I saw a new one at the Ft. LAuderdale boat show and fell in love but at 169K its out of my league. I like the layout of the cabin and the cockpit has alot of space. One thing I'm concerned about is the lack of storage due to its construction. Does anyone have opinions or experience with this boat? How is the ride in 3-4ft. chop, head sea and following seas? I will insist on a sea trial before I purchase, but was wondering if anyone had any input as to what to look out for on this model. It has twin Yamaha 4strokes F225s with ~80hrs. Also, what is it like servicing this boat? Are most mechanical things accessible? The boat I'm looking at is ~100K. Does this seem reasonable? It does have radar, Raymarine c-120 gps/plotter, vhf, and spot light. Its in exceptional condition, price started at 115K. Lastly, does anyone know what the resale is like on Edgewaters? Thanks in advance for any and all opinions, good and bad.

I used to work the boat show's in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami for a couple of years. This is back in 2001/2002ish (I think), when the first express 265 came to the show. I can tell you that senior management at the time with Edgewater was committed to providing a quality product to the market. I recall someone found a faulty hinge and the comment was, take this boat back to the factory and this is unacceptable. It has been sometime since I have been actively involved with the company. Back then they did not have a boat bigger than 26 feet. Today it's very different.

Regards

I too am interested in these boats. Everything looks great but I can't find out the deadrise on it anywhere. The $100k seems high from what I've seen online. Yachtworld has some for less (I haven't checked Boattrader yet), but this one here is sweet:

You can get a 2004 or 2005 Grady White 265 Express with the same power for
alot less $$$ ! These years the deadrise is 20deg. On older models like my '00
it's 21 deg.
For a 26' twin outboard express boat, the Grady 265 Express is IT!
