You are correct the HPDI and 300 & 350 are dead meat. Pricing will be a direct response to the Yama pricing, initial performance & market acceptance. These new engines will also provide a quick and economical solution for current Yama installs 4 stroke 200- 350 & HPDI - which will stop competitive erosion, increase production and reduce cost for competitive replacement - all current 4 stroke manufacturers will have to respond with new product or new pricing to compete. I do not understand your displacment remark - not sure anyone buys an engine because of the displacement. In general I agree with your comments - good job.
Just meant that the big zuke V6's were 3.6L (4.0 for the 300) vs Yam 3.3. More cubes and lighter for more power. Seems yam has moved ahead of Zuke in this area, for now. But it will all boil down to how well they perform on-the-water. Seems more evolutionary rather than revolutionary - but this is all good for us.
I am anxious to see the numbers of a pair of 250s on a 306 Bimin... We saw 1.1-1.2mpg with the OX-66s and with the old F250s 1.3-1.4
I'm anxious to see the the #'s of a pair of the new 300s on the Bimini (actually Canyon 306 now). Sounds like they would be a perfect match. GW has updated their site to take these new engines into account (i.e. the 283 max hp now states 600 - with V6 engines only!)
minime, agree with you, but my guess is the 27T can spin 23" wheels with the F300s. The 27T I was on at the Miami show was spinning 23"s with the F250s (albeit the boat was light) and it was able to spin them fine. My guess is you prop the 27T with F300s correctly and you will see a bigger difference.

I don't see why the new plasma fused technology isn't used across the board for all their motors?? Maybe not smaller, lighter kickers, but anything from 115's up should get the new design...
What are the chances Yamaha will update the 25" shaft F150 and F200 later this year or next year? Maybe add a F175. I hope so.
Id like to see a short 20" shaft f-300 SHO for bass, flat and bay boats. They have always had that power in a short shaft. I bet they add it later on.
