The interior is a bizarre layout. I think Bernie thought he was building a cottage not a sportfisher.

that boat is a pile of junk. Its going to go for much becuase everything is layed out wrong and it dated. I bet it wont meet the reserve. I was in the boat 3 years ago when I helped my friend bring the Dorthy Jo (61 viking owned by Frank DiPascali which also is up for auction) to florida.

Do you think that I could buy it and then "sell" it to a couple thousand unsuspecting people like a Ponzi / Madoff scheme? by the time some one wants to actually take possesion , I'll be rich!!

Maybe you buy it and sell it off as fractional owndership, sort of a floating timeshare complete with Capitain. Off course, in the Madeoff tradition you would have to sell 6,890,878 weeks to folks in the midwest and than you'll be rich, at least till the feds get you. Than you could apply with the Federal Bureau of Prisons to be Bernies bunkmate and rag about 'Bull'.

I don't know what in the world is dated about that boat. And if that's a pile of junk then mines a reef waiting to sink.
That is a beautiful boat.

I just can't believe that none of you noticed that there are no Rod Holders in the covering boards.

At least 11 people (as of last week) had put up $100,000 deposits to bid on this boat. The reserve is $700,000 and the boat is expected to bring at least $1mm. Rumor is that Sparkman & Stevens has a client that's prepared to go higher than that.

The curtains througout really make the boat look ultra modern, that and the pink furniture. Anyone willing to pay &700k-$1MM for a 69 Rybo is freakin retarded shtoopid. You can a lot more/newer boat for that dough!

Those numbers are retarded for Madoff's money pit.

The more interesting question is what will the Dorothy Jo go for at auction? Maybe that 61 will be a deal.... who knows..
