Default Shipping Advice

Please weigh in if you have any advice, I'm thinking of buying a boat in Florida and having it shipped to Texas. I've heard a few stories of folks not getting their boats or getting them with damage. Company recommendations or good experiences or the ones to stay away from.

Use an insured professional, get references. How big is the boat?

I purchase a boat in Texas and had it shipped to Md.(Hydra Sports 2500 CC with twin 150's) I used uship. The shipper that I used was great. Here is the website http://www.giddyupngo.com/
I will shoot you his cell number.

No interest just a pleased customer.

I sold my GW36 to someone in Galveston and had it shipped by carrier from Central Florida. Don't remember who it was but no problems.

That is a pretty simple move, not like it has to be torn down first.

I used 'Skippers Shipper' when I bought my Blackfin from Fort Pierce Fl. I had it shipped to Freeport, TX. to Dos Amigos boat works. The only damage that was done was from the guy I hired to take the tower apart. He loaded some of the riggers wrong and caused a large rub on the windshield. But as far a shipper goes, I would highly recommend 'Skippers Shipper' .

Not sure if they're still in business, but Joule Yacht Transport is really great to work with. Shipped our 28' walkaround from Idaho to Orlando (long story) with no damage and right on time. This was back in the early 90's, so I don't remember the price and it shows they've been around a long time. Good luck!
