Default I need a couple Yamaha 25hp two strokes

I'm shopping for a couple motors for some small skiffs. I contacted a very popular website for engines and was told Yamaha won't let them ship to Texas.

Can somebody shed some light on this? I'd rather not pay the premium of my small town dealer....

Thanks in advance

At the end of the day you will pay just about as much as you would if you just went to your local dealer.

Also going to your local dealer will be good because it will support your community!

You can probably buy them New in Mexico and bring them over open and looking very used. I did not say that..

It's your money. It don't matter where you buy it the local dealer has to service it. If he won't file a complaing with the mfgr and the feds. Even though a lot of people would like you to believe it makes a difference where you buy it, it does not. The school of Hard Knocks teaches us that quickly and reliably.

If you can get them in US, I would..

Local dealer wanted $450 per motor more than onlineoutboards.com which was a bit more premium than I'd like to give for dealing locally.

The motors arrived on time yesterday....smooth process.
