 Boston Whaler Dauntless 20
This is my first post, but I have read many. I really value the knowledge on this site. I have spent the better part of a year looking for a boat that is good for fishing for me, tubing for my tenagers and cruising for my wife (and me). I'll be using it in the creeks and rivers and at times on the Chesapeake Bay. I've settled on a dual console as best fitting our needs. I will be using it only on weekends for about 6 months of the year so I am not interested in spending a fortune but also want a good boat. I have found two good boats. A 2003 Aquasport 215 Osprey with a 2 stroke Yamaha 200 OB and a 1996 Boston Whaler Dauntless with a older Sea Pro 150 OB. Both are in good shape, with the Whaler possibly in better shape, althought the AS seems to be the better fishing set up. They are similarly priced (under 20k), but I think I can get the AS for several thousand less. What are the thoughts on the better boat? I am leaning toward the Whaler. What's a good deal in this market? |
