Fiberglass tanks are much stronger than alluminum especially when tournament guys are beating the crap out of their boats so bad that they crack tanks. This is the reason why YF switched to fiberglass but was always willing to install alluminum at any time. Then the govt forced ethanol upon us all creating problems all over the marine industry.

Tell that to Skater who sells million dollar boats every year that go 200mph. Most of these boats are still around 10 years later with zero tank issues.

And he is a stand up guy at that and is not the dumb azz that alot of the people in this thread have made him out to be. He has had a ton of boating experience. I am a YF guy 4 boats deep but some of the YF guys seem to be way to defensive. I have a buddy that has a 34 with fiberglass tanks and the ethanol issue has caused him all kind of issues. I actually liked the fiberglass method better before high ethanol levels.

From what I read on my thread, some don't want a YF with aluminum tanks either....

I can see why some YF owners get defensive..just look at the first 3-4 pages of this thread...couple snipers coming in only to take pop shots at YF and rile up the owners, even telling the guy to seek legal counsel...YOU included...how many posts on this thread?? 4-5??

You have already posted 5 times so whats your point? What are you a Yellowfin homer? You dont own a Yellowfin so why dont you let the owners speak for themselves. I am sure they lose sleep at night from this thread (READ SARCASM). Yellowfin is a fine vessel and no one is disputing this.

How have you contributed to this thread?

Damn!

My idea of a nice plane is a 150 or a 172 haha!

The 172 gets me around . . . big plane to me!

Juneau and back to Gustavus on 6 gallons!

You guys need any more friends?

you could have saved yourself the headache and bought an inboard that runs on diesel.
No Ethanol no worries.

J/K you got nice boat now go use it.
