why do they call this a 2009 model if it is built on 2008,Should they have branded the boat as a 2008,and that would be correct since it has fiberglass tanks. And if so make the hull id show 08 and i would have not purchased because 08 hulls have fiberglass tanks.By the way still looking for you to post your phone to call and give you the facts.

Let me break it down this way:

Yellowfin has zero liability for accidental misrepresentations because they were not a party to the sale. If it were a consignment boat or a factory refurb that would be one thing but YF was not involved. Do they have a moral obligation to be honest?? Yes, and Wylie is as straight forward as they come.... to a fault at times. I assure you he would have rather sold you a new 34 than intentionally trick you into a used boat! The whole concept that they are somehow at fault for your mistaken purchase is flawed from the get go. Having said that.... You have a great boat! Stop hand wringing over a non issue. If it is that bothersome then I will take the boat off your hands for your purchase price and sell it myself.

Because that's pretty much an industry standard. 2010 boats and cars are on the lots right now and it's November of 2009. You've never noticed this before?

So you looked at buying a boat made in 2008 and then asked yellowfin if a 2009 had aluminum tanks and now blame yellowfin? Why didn't you ask the seller or have a survey done on a 100k boat?
Did the seller tell you this boat was built in 2009? Did the seller say it had aluminum tanks? Or did you assume for yourself that it was built in 2009? Seems like your problem is with the seller.
I would be pissed too in your situation but I do not see how yellowfin is at fault unless you asked a specific question about this exact boat and hull id number. Not just asking about 2009 models in general as you stated.

Brett, why did you get rid of that beautiful boat only to get another one? Just wondering....

I think if you knew the boat had glass tanks in it before the sale you would of called YF again got the price to replace and still bought the boat. Then waited and if you had an issue replaced them. So relax, go fishing and enjoy the boat and if you dont want it list the boat sell it and buy a new one.

that little sword we held up for the pic was revived and released. Sry we brought it over the gunnel, but it was the first sword for a couple of us. You guys are right....if we would have been in a YF we wouldnt have been able to bring it over that huge bow and it would have died.

And the guys at YF are probably at that tournament in Alabama. Probably why they havent responded yet.

See that is the problem if i knew the boat had glass tanks i would not have purchased it,I was not looking for a boat to have tank problems years later. And i did call YF talked to Wylie when i was selling my 31 to confirm the tanks in it for the new purchaser, and he told me all 2004 and pre 31s had aluminum and was told all 2009 models and up have aluminum, Thanks for the post.

I was suprised on how much difference,the 34 rides great and has a great layout,performance with twin 350s about 60-61 mph,cruise 40 mph 1.5 mpg,The 31 with twin 250 yamaha 58 mph top, cruise 40 at 1.8 to 2.0 mpg.Thanks for the post.
