thanks,i will ask another simple question ,does anyone have a 2009 model with fiberglass tanks simple question ??,i may purchase a lotto ticket and may get lucky since i seem to be the only lucky person to have a 2009 hull with fiberglass tanks
I have offered to talk to him on the phone, I have offered to give him answers, and I have offered to help him. No response. This is starting to feel like a troll session.
does it make a difference what boat it is if it is a 2009? I thought all 2009 models had alum tanks?
It would make a difference depending on when YF started using alum tanks...In boats built in 2009 or 2009 model yrs. If they started using all alum tanks in boats built in 2009 there could be 2009 model year boats that were built in 2008.....I can see how that could easily be confused!!
This boat was built in 2008, August of 2008. It has fiberglass tanks. The model year changes on 7/1 of every year at YF.
I have been on this boat, run this boat and know the owner very well. It is a kick ass 34 that runs great. If I am right I know how much you paid and you could unload that boat in a week and be fine. Terry is probably getting chuckle out of this since it was also his boat before he had the 36 that is currently for sale.

That is a hell of an offer right there - a way to get your $$ back.
Personally, I think that you have a right to be upset, but not that upset. Yes it seems like you received misleading information. I am sure it was not intentionally misleading. However, it boggles the mind that you purchased a boat without looking in the bilge.
Personally, I would never buy another boat (over $50K) - even new - unless I had a survey, or unless I followed the boat being built (as many purchasers of new Yellowfins do). But even if I did not have a survey, there is no way I would buy a complex, expensive item used unless I PERSONALLY inspected all systems.
Enjoy your boat - most likely you will not have any problems with the tanks. There are many people out there that would love to be faced with your problem.
Nice.... lump us all in with those guys. I guess I will toss my circle hooks, tag stick and venting tool..............
I wrote "some" to disclude anglers like you from the generalization. If it don't apply, let it fly. The marlin kill shot was bad enough but once I seen meii's lifeless pup on the deck I just couldn't hold back. I am all about taking fish but lets have some kind of morals when it comes to killing these type of fish. Its careless and selfish!
