I dont believe that A quad 300xs breaks 90 with A hell of A lot of work.Unless the boat is stripped barebones with A few less stringers in the floor to give it the edge! nah,all joking aside how fast have you been capable of getting your new boat up to?

Prop after seeing all of your boats, and then seeing dealers offering some good deals on leftover fountains, I spent a decent amount of time over the course of 2 days at the Fountain set up at the Ft. Lauderdale show this past weekend. In conversation with both Reggie and Alden, neither mentioned these kinds of speeds out of trips, and they were throwing out some very optimistic numbers.

It is clear that you know Fountains (you've probably moved more of them then the factory this past year), but I am a bit confused, hence my post earlier regarding numbers being stated on this threat. Can you elaborate more for me or am I missing something here?

Thanks.

That Merc test says they ran the V350's up to 6800 rpms...I thought redline was like 6400 or so?

Absolutely. But a clear cold day in saltwater with a lighter load would do a little better.

Many boats seem to get the best top speed a little over propped.

How much faster? I am simply trying to understand how much speed does another 350hp give a fountain 38. If a triple 350 / 38 does 80 what does a quad 350 / 38 do? We have seen propbender's quad 300xs do 85. Does your boat run in the 90's?

What is strange to me as well is the fact Reggie and Alden told me a triple 350 / 38 does low to mid 70's when they were at the Ft. Laud show

Perhaps you are correct, the boat on the floor did have triple 300's, but among my questions, I did ask about it's performance with triple 350's and was mid 70's Propped for top speed, what is the best you have seen from your boat, before it slips into Guardian Mode?
