Use your search as OldPete says. I bought my Maycraft from them in 2008 and had a great experience. If you know what you want it's wonderful. If you need a lot of hand holding it's not for you.
I'd recommend Cooper's Marine, they are off Lewistown road, just down from the new Bass Pro Shops store. I've been into Ed's a number of times. Not very helpful.

I just picked up my new boat from them yesterday. If it's your first boat, go somewhere else. If you know what you want, how you want it, and what to look for you'll be fine. Get it all in writing. I traveled from NJ and saved $5K.
It's not a question of bias. It's an offer of help. The posters handle is "Ed'sMarineSupertore" no deception. Gees what a crew.
He's not askin for that kind of help bro - he wants to know what our experiences have been. I think it is safe to say that Ed's marine superstore has ALWAYS had a great experience with Ed's marine superstore.
"hello is this ed's marine superstore? Has anyone ever had an issue dealing with you? No? Great! I'll be right down...."
Here's my take on this. For months I kicked around the idea of buying a new Sea Hunt 202. Ed's blows everyone's pricing out of the water. I live in TX, but my hometown is close to Ed's store, so I was just going to make a vacation out of picking the boat up and visiting family.
One thing I knew was that any dealer around me was not going to be happy that I went to Ed's to buy the boat instead of from them. However, the cost savings would have made it worth it. That being said, I had numerous phone conversations with Sea Hunt themselves working out issues before they arose. Ie: I wanted to make sure that Sea Hunt would work with me on warranty repairs, as in I was going to be the one making the repairs. I knew up front that I was not going to rely on any dealerships around me that I didn't buy from. Aside from a blown powerhead, etc. I feel I can fix any typical problems that are going to happen.
Ed's customer service over the phone was great and answered plenty of questions of mine. I also spoke with Sea Hunt in regards to Ed's, and they had zero negative things to say about them, only positive.
Ed's is big, buys trailers and motors in bulk at good deals, rig their own motors (as in not factory rigged) and supply their own trailers which is how they can sell their boats so cheap.
The only reason I didn't buy from them is because I picked up this used little Key Largo cheap to hold me over for a while. Good luck.

I would buy from Ed's in a heartbeat. They are an out the door best price place. I wouldn't have to use them for service after the sale... I can do all that myself. If they have the boat/engine combination you want and you don't need your hand held after the sale... they will have the best price.

Alright, I've got to post this because I have read a good deal of negative stuff here about Ed's. So I think it's only fair.
My only experience with Ed's was that they claimed they couldn't provide a written estimate to me because I live in North Carolina. That kind of peeved me because I'm afraid of taking the drive only to be nickel-and-dimed to death, or to be told that I misunderstand and that the phone-quoted price was on a base model with nothing on it, no trailer, or something silly like that. I suppose the "no written quote" thing could be possible because of manufacturer sales area restrictions so I have no complaint about that. The lady I spoke with on the phone was helpful and fast; she answered my questions, and readily provided a verbal quote, but seemed annoyed by the request. To be honest, if I get the best deal around, I couldn't care less about that part.
Anyway, the main point is that I talked to a buddy of mine just a few minutes ago who bought a Sea Hunt 186 Ultra from Ed's last summer. I knew he had it, didn't know that was where he got it until a few minutes ago. He said that he couldn't be happier with the entire experience, and the five-hour round-trip was more than worth it. He highly recommended Ed's to me.
I've bought a ton of stuff from them, if you know what you want and do your homework you will be good. I've bought everything from a complete rig (20 ft cc) to bulk oil. My last purchase was a Yami 25 2S for $2150.00. My local dealer had a "blowout" sale on the same motor. $2900.00!
