Default Best Skiff Under 18'

Hi Everyone...

I am not sure if the title of this thread is correct, but I am looking to buy a new/used classic looking skiff. I am looking at Holby Bristol Skiff's, but they are very pricey. Does anyone know of a similar style boat, a competitor of Holby, etc. Blue Fin Dory, Roth, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

New Holby on Yacht World for 18.5K close out. Not sure you budget but decent discount from retail.

You have lit a good fire with this thread.

Just love our little 14' Maritime skiff with the center console that usually goes into the 16 & 18' models.

"Doug in Bermuda" - I am hoping to get some good Feedback, which it seems like I am. I have done hours of research trying to find that "perfect" skiff! I really want something with classic lines with a touch of modern day technology. Thanks for you input...I will check out the Maritime Skiffs now.

It would hep to know what you plan on using the skiff for?

The round hull skiff are quite rolly for most pople bu they make a great rowing/sailing dink. We have a 14ft round hull saling rowing dink that I like to row with, with a littler 4 hp Merc. That fits/goes well with the lines/design of our 58 ft trawler. However my wife does not like it as its to roll for her. So we bought a used12 ft Livingston tri hull center counsel with a 20 hp motor, which is very stable, but it rows like a pig. So now we have two dinks ours and mine as I Iike to row in the morning and/or evening, but as the years been rolling by have been using the 4 hp motor more and more each year.

I will be using mostly for cruising with the family and some light fishing (all in-shore). I really want something with classic lines. Like I said, I really think the Holby Bristol Skiff is a beautiful boat (it would be perfect), but they are pricey (new) - and there are not very many used ones available.

Thank you for your comment...

Default blazer boat 15'2"

new blazer looks just like my Hobie Power Skiff except they list their boat as 15'2" and Hobie PS says 15'3" very cool craft indeed.

That's because it is.

Blazer bought the molds from Wagner.boats which bought them from Hobie.
