Question Looking to move up - Ideas?

Current boat is in my sig.
Looking for a 32-34'.
Price NTE $150k.
Ten years old or less.
Conditions I will use this boat are:
Day/Night/Foul weather, seas NTE 4' in the Chesapeake Bay.

Engine(s):
Prefer inboard diesel, but will consider O/B twin. Must have genset. Ability do cruise at 20kt+.

Helm/Deck:
Hardtop, with ability to seal out the elements, seating for four adults. Ample fishing deck with livewell and fish box.

Cabin:
Easily sleep two adults without being a contortionist. Hot/cold water at sink and shower. A head/shower you can actually use standing or sitting without putting your knees next to your ears. Fridge, micro, and a/c, heat. Closed-door storage is a must.

If ya'll can help narrow it down, that would be great.
So far, I am looking at the Wellcraft Coastal, Offshore Express Pursuit, and Albermarle.

A late 90s or early 2K like my sig would do the trick. Only sacrifice might be a knot or two on the cruise speed. Single diesel. Loads of human space in the cabin. Center line queen bed. Head with shower stall. 115gal fresh water capacity. 260 gal fuel tanks give huge range with that single. Full keel. No props & rudders hanging down to get tangled in things. Wonderfully dry ride. Very much a womans boat inside with the ammenities she wants yet still a mans boat on the outside easily single handed. A real nice cruising boat that you can take fishing rather than a real nice fishing boat that can be used for short cruises once in awhile.

What will the boat be used most for.

Doug, what is your's?
I checked out the Hunt, sweet boat, but over $300k!
Couldn't find any used.
David, thanks but I need a full cabin.
I like the Bertram that Jim K has for sale.
But obviously still looking.

Steve,

Mine is a full cabin. It has a full bathroom, refrigerator, and microwave. The V berth makes a table if needed, I just keep it as a bed. Also the backs of the V seating folds up for a bunk bed. You would have to see it to realize how big it really is.

Steve, I ahve the same boat as yours and looking to move up also. My next boat will be a 32 tiara. You can find nice 2004s for around 150k. Gas inboards with generators.
13 foot beam with quenn size forward berth.

There is a Tiara near me, sweet boat, at least from the outside.
With the price of gas, and it's poor mpg economy, I want to go with diesel(s).
I need to see the inside of a Tiara, walk through it.
I really like the layout of a Bertram though...

I really like my 3400 Pursuit. Several 2001-2005 model years out there for around $140-200k. By the way these where built in S2 factory so basically a Tiara that really likes to fish.

My next step is to find a Bertram 35 close to me so I can walk through it.
I need a large cabin, ample rear deck and a full helm for toys.
It is very important to be able to seal off the area while underway because I will be on it in freezing temps.

So far, the Bertram is looking right, at least what I gather from Jim's photos.

I would talk to Judge Yachts. The 36 with a single diesel is very fuel efficient and cruises around 30 knots. Most boat builder's sales are down significantly, you may be able to have a new boat built at a great price.

Default 33' Coastal

Steve,

I sent you a PM. As I stated I have a 2004 33' Wellcraft Coastal that I am considering selling. The boat is fully rigged for offshore fishing. Twin Volvo 370 diesels, Kolher Genny, Custom marlin tower, underwater lights, autopilot, hydraulic engine hatch lifts(Custom installed). Call me (201)819-2105. I can send you some pics of the boat. Thanks, K.C.

Friend of mine in FL sold his 63' Hatteras and just picked up a 00 or 01 42'Tiara with the hardtop. Had CATs (which he wanted) and only had something like 1500 hrs. the boat had decent setup for fishing but really was great for cruising which was perfect for his needs. Had all the gear (radar, plotter, etc).

Boat was initially listed on YachtWorld for something like 250K then to 229K. Not sure what his first offer was but think after all was said and done he got it for 180K.
