I dislike promoting things I'm obviously biased to, but as far as ride goes... albies are pretty amazing for a 24ft boat. boats are always tucking in behind me

Looking for something used I live in the north east. The 242cc Albe has caught my eye checked on a couple still looking for the right deal. I had one picked out @AGYG and had the deal done as soon as I set an appointment with the surveyor the owner/salesman got all flakey on me and wouldn't return my calls and when I did manage to contact him he always had some lame excuse why he couldn't meet the surveyor.

Anything based on the Formula 233 Hull, 24 Albemarle, 23 regulator. also Seacrafts designs were great, it is used by Silverhawk and others.

In my humble opinion (and we all know what they say about opinions...) the 23' Regulator is the best riding 23-24' center console made. The 242 Albe is right up there but the Regulator is, in my experience, quite a bit more dry. All good choices mentioned so far. Good luck with your search.

I set out on a similar search and landed on a Reg 23. After 6 years of ownership I still feel I found the best riding, most sea worthy boat out there that you can push with a single outboard.

There are some other good suggestions in this thread as well...

The Sailfish 2360 is also based on these with a 9 foot beam, not the dryest boat..Some of the others mentioned have better fit and finish.

The OP is asking for factual, credible info, not a silly post like yours.

How is a sailfish wet? There is like 10 yards of hull side on those things. At 5'8" I can't even see the water when I stand in one

the 233 and 24 Albie are the same, the 23 regulator is very close, hase a sharp keel in the stern as opposed to the 233/albies rounded keel at the transom. it will ride better but planes at a higher speed. the early 80's albie is a formula 233 rebadged, same top and all.

So the main difference is an angled bottom at the transom opposed to the rounded bottom at the transom on the albie? Does that make a significant difference? Could you tell blindfolded which boat you're in? Just curious
