Default Pathfinder water intrusion

I am in the process of buying a 2003 Pathfinder 1900V? In perusing the board I have noticed some remarks about water intrusion problems on Pathfinders. I have tried to find more using the search function but without much success. Can anyone enlighten me on this subject?
TIA

Before you sign anything do a wet test with a couple friends standing on the transom and a full live well......decide for yourself.

Default Water intrusion fix

Go to www.pathfinderboats.com, and search for this topic there. I have a 2007 22' Pathfinder, and installed $15.00 Rabud Ping Pong ball scuppers, and it completely eliminated the problem. I got the idea from the above forum.

When they went from the side drain to the stern mounted drains, the water instrusion issues just about went away.

Like fastcat said, some people have added the Rabud ping-pong ball drains. I have had no water intrustion issues at all on my 02 2400V with the standard stern drains.

We have a 99 2200V at work that has the side drains. We use basic plugs on the drains to keep the water out.

Here's a link to the MHPC website forums...

Make sure you get the Rabud ping-pong ball drains and make sure they stay clean... debris can foul them up and let water in. That's is a great boat you are looking at. Good luck.

Default thank you

Thank you all for your input. I think the drains on the 2003 1900V are on the sides. The current owner has a pair of plugs he uses to keep the boat dry, but I like the idea of the Rabud ping pong balls. I like to simplify things and have a minimal checklist before launching the boat.

On the 2003 PF 1900V, the drains are on the back, not the sides. I have rabuds on mine and they work fairly well, especially if you keep them clean.
