i went by and saw this machine yesterday and i must say the fit and finish is amazing. Im not very experienced with go-fast boats but if this is the way Nor-tech makes all their boats, there will be some competition among the CC builders to match this boat. I think it was Terry who showed me the boat and let me get on board.....thx very much and really appreciate the guided tour of this work of art. Even the non-skid on the gunnels was amazing. Id be almost afraid to fish on it for fear of getting her dirty!!
This machine is a great addition to the CC fishing boat line for all of us. It raises the bar.
Here's a shot of the bilge. Every wire and rigging run is supported with stainless cushioned clamps, no plastic. This is true throughout the boat whether visible or not.
Also note we use sea cocks. I believe there was an entire thread based on that topic of discussion.
Here is a manufacturer that "gets it".
If you're going to position and price your boat at the top of the market, provide the quality to justify your price. Ball valves don't cut it...
Dare I ask if your fuel tanks are foamed-in, and if so- are they barrier coated first?

To anwser on your comment if NorTech makes all their boats the same way.. The anwser is yes. I've had 3 43 Nor-Techs, 04 gas, 07 diesel and my last one was an 08 gas as well. I have gotten to know many people at the factory, they are some of the best in the industry.. and it shows they really care... I keep coming back because of this reason. They accomadated everyone of my needs through out the build. Every build got more elaborate, and not once did they say... no.. and if I asked for something that had not been done, it was engineered out or I was told it was not cost effective. Great co, fair prices, and awesome customer service after the sale..
speeds are low to mid 70's depending on set up.. thats with trip 300's. That is very good for being 39' with just shy of a 10' beam. A quad 350 Homesite beater is in the works..
The Fountain does 80 with triple 350s, so a quad Nor-Tech would probably be slower than Homesite's boat. It was refreshing to hear the Nor-Tech guy say that he wasn't trying to be the fastest, unlike the Yellowfin people who freak out when you show them the Mercury speed tests. I think Nor-Tech knows they are so far out in front of the competition with this boat that they have nothing to prove.
i forgot to mention the slide out cooler that doubles as a 2nd row of seating behind the helm was truly functional and also perfect. It slid out ALOT. Terry also said he could sit in the rear seat and lay his feet up on the slide out, and of course he showed me to prove it.
I was in, around, and all over all the go-fast CC's at the show today. Of the non-hardcore fishing boats, the Nortech was definitely the fishiest and nicest in every respect. This really is a nice fishing boat. A lot of nice features and style without being gaudy like the Cigarette Top Fish.

I just want to thank you guys for all of the positive comments. It was great to meet with those that had time to stop by.
The next stop is Key West where we will have the boat on display at the Conch Republic docks during race weekend.
Come by if you're in the neighborhood.
I really enjoyed checking out the boat as well. Very well thought out and another high quality choice for those looking at Deep Impact, Cigarette, Midnight Express, etc. Best of luck Nor-Tech, you have a winner!!
I saw the boat at the show Saturday. I didn't board it because I tend not to board boats that are obviously way out of my price range as to not waste anybodies time.
But from what I could see from the dock it did look amazing. My only question is about the steps leating to the bow. Is that stair case also the cabin door? And pictures of the cabin?

What he said. (whazzup, Jeff?)
The fit and finish on Nor-Tech's boats is second to none.
For those of you who haven't been by the plant yet, here's one view (taken last month).
There was a Nor-Tech 39(?) CC in Key West yesterday with quad 300s. Gray hull and black powder-coated hard top out to the gunnels. They were picking up beer and snacks before heading back to watch the powerboat races. Had something like StealthOffshore.com on the hull. Looked nice, but Busch and Michelob cans just don't cut it in a boat like that!
That was a 44. Originally built as a spec boat for Homeland so they could do some evaluation. Now it's a pleasure boat owned by a Canadian. SOS stands for their website, Serious Offshore.com
I had the 39 (blue/white) running around a lot in KW doing quite a few demos.
Wife and I were eating at the floating Thai restaurant when it came in. No space available at the floating pier by the ramp in Garrison Bight, so they nosed in between the restaurant and live-aboard docks. Only problem was that the space was probably only 50 feet -- one of the guys had to jump on the stern and push aft quarter off piling with his feet! Almost a nasty blemish in that pretty hull.
Being an ex-Homeland boat would explain the hard-top out to the gunnels, not the first choice of most fishermen. Of course, it's large enough to have great space both forward and aft for fishing, etc.
