Default Yamaha F225 2002 Cost ?

I found what appears to be a deal on this motor to repower my 2250 WA with a tired carb 2 stroke. Any input on this year 4 Stroke or possibly what it is worth? Motor has low hrs. all guages, controls and stainless steel prop.Owner went with twin F 150's. Thanks

I don't know what is worth but I can tell you I have a 2002 F225 and I love it. At idle you don't even it running and for an outboard it is great on gas. I think a new one is around 15,000 I would guess maybe 10,000

Might not be enough power. Some say they only put out 213 hp. I don't know if it's tru, but i wouldn't doubt it. I have two, and they srtuggle to get my boat on plane, granted it's a very heavy boat. I would assume that your boat is heavy also, being a walk around.

I paid $12,000 for a new leftover 2003 about one month ago. I repowered my 23' Contender. I love the motor. Performance wise, it does as well as my OX 66 225 ever did. The hole shot and top end are about the same. If anything, I picked up one or two MPH with the 4-stroke. Both motors ran the same prop.
