What kind of decking do you have? Wood or aluminum? Tore the carpet out of mine this past winter and put down Tuff Coat non skid coating. Absolutely love it. Was thinking about doing vinyl flooring but decided against it. At first I thought it would be a little rough on your feet but not at all. Been very durable. Wasn't that bad to put on, just a pain to pull everything off the deck. I have an aluminum deck but I think it works on wood also, just need a different primer.

Yeah, I just don't get why pontoon MFG's insist on putting carpet down on their decks. The carpet WILL get soiled and stained, especially if you fish from it. Wear patterns appear easily and make the overall look of the boat very well "used"...

I suppose a snap-in carpet system might work well, but I'd prefer just a solid surface.

Our first pontoon boat had a plywood deck that we repainted a few times with a non-skid type deck paint. It worked very well.

Most marine stores should carry a similar product for todays uses.

Good luck!

Take it and get a rhino liner sprayed on it. West marine has a nonskid deck paint which works great, used it on my boat... Its about 80.00 gal... http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...4&ci_sku=43103

You should be able to roll it on... What type of surface are you putting it on? Wood, fiberglass?
