I think the compamy is still in business but is doing more fiberglass work than just making boats. They are great people and I just don't think they are abandoning their customers. I believe the following Cat Builders will respond to this memo. If I was looking for a cat I would be seeking them out. Renaissance Marine and Caracal Boats.

Best wishes from 15 miles north of Tallahassee and 2 miles south of www.bradleyscountrystore.com , the best ole time real country smoked whole-hog sausage anywhere!

Caracal has gone out of business. Didn't Renaissance just come out with a W/A model?

can you get a hold of msilva4 and ask him if he knows any info about the company? That would be great. I have a list of manufacters and they are one of them. I`m looking at purchasing a cat in the spring.

I looked at GB`s and WC`s, I want a lighter boat. The GB`s and WC`s are nice boats, in fact my buddy has a 26ft we run 40 miles offshore in and it`s agreat ride but it`s to heavy. I want to be able to trailer it around and load and unload by myself. I also don`t want to have to buy a new truck to pull it. What does anybody think about the new Sea Cats?

I met Don and he showed me their production facility and boats. They seem to be a pretty good deal/bargain, the main con I saw was that there was not a lot of room in the cockpit behind the leaning post.

I have a 22 2004 Seacat, they stopped production for a while, I believe 2005 was the last one put out. They are great boats, well made, light, great ride.

Thank you for the input. I found a dealer in Gulf breeze who has an `08 225 CC. He has his price in mind but it was a dealer demo. I think I can do better than what he is asking. I might not wait till spring. Anybody want to buy a `03 Prosport 2050 WA w/ Honda 225 ?

I'am wrong, they are still be in business. They certainly have a small production line, maybe that has helped them survive while most bigger companies got ahead of themselves. Very well constructed boats, if you can get to my area, you can get a demo ride with me and see the boat firsthand.

I was just up at the seacat factory the other day in Titusville to get a bit of gelcoat from Don for my 09 seacat 225. It's just very slow for them as well, now making a living doing gov't contracts. Seacat is part of Vectorworks, and they build huge boats, down to small ones like seacats. Don--What a great guy. I've got a few chips from normal wear and tear, just had my dealer give him a buzz and he said "stop by" and I'll give you some gelcoat to touch up with. Wouldnt even take $20 bucks for the gelcoat.
North Courtenay Boat center in north merritt island has a new leftover 07 (I think) seacat 225 that you could probably get a great deal on. It's been sitting there for a long while. Best thing about that, is that it's so close to the factory, that if you wanted any options added, the dealer will just send it back to the factory and they can add anything you want.
