Scout CC transom/gunwale config

Have been seriously looking at a Key West 2300, but recently saw a Scout, same size, fully equiped. Was wondering what people's thoughts were on the configuration of storage in the gunwales and the fold down bench in the transom. I like to fight fish from the corners, but it looks like the little seat and the width of the gunwale might make that an issue. I do like the significant storage, which the Key West does not have. Are these boats fairly comparable?

I am in the process of purchasing a 07 242 left over. The little seat in the stern isnt much of a problem for me and with the center folded up it really isnt that bad. You should get down to a dealer and snoop around on the boa. Pictures are good and give you an idea but it hit home with me how big the boat felt and how nice it was when i got on it. Just my .02. John
