Might be a dumb question, but I'm gonna ask anyway.... What are the metal boxes on the side of the ice chests?

Not at all, those are freezer plates that make your ice last for a very long time, iced up once in 6 days, and stayed full. This summer will be the test, July and August are smokers in SW FL.

This boat was one of my highlights of the Miami show. If you think this boat is unreal in the pictures, man - you have to see it in person!

It was good meeting you Detour - if you are ever in the Jacksonville area, beers are on me!

Ditto! "The Office" had to be the most impressive boat I saw at the show. Canyon machine!

I also walked all over this beast at the show, you have to see in person to appreciate how massive this thing is...

I really enjoyed and learned a lot from this build, very impressive.

A few questions:
what size Genset and is it gas or diesel?

How does the instant water heater do for a shower? Does the Genset have to be on?

And does the Genset have to be running for the fishbox chillers? How much do they draw?

Thanks,
Great boat.

The boat was the most impressive vessel at the show IMO.

I'm glad you have enjoyed the build. I truly enjoyed posting it, and the conversations that followed.

So far as your questions go, the genny is a diesel Fischer Panda, here is a link:
http://fischerpanda.com/marine-pdf/P...4200Insert.pdf

I didn't get the boat until November, and I have not had the opportunity to over night or shower on her yet, so I can't address the hot water question. The genny would have to be running to power the hot water heater. The fishbox chillers do not require AC, and I have run them for 18+ hours without noticing the system being taxed. They are Vitrifrigo's, and I didn't see the info for these on the site, but perhaps some of their other products would give you an idea.

I am glad some of you were able to get by the show and view her first hand. Feel free to hit me with any questions you might have, I enjoy the conversation.

Thank you sir for the reply. Let me know how the water heater works once you use it.

Sorry for the late reply. I am getting a few odds and ends done on the boat, it will be back around the beginning of March. I need to make a few adjustments that Glen sent to me, and then I will post it up.

This is my first post on this site. I just spent 2 hours reading about this great boat. We might be moving down on the water in southwest Fl. I think its settled we will be getting a 36 yellowfin. I might have a hard time talking her into a 42.

Welcome down, it is a nice easy place to live. The 36 fishes great over here. I should have the boat back mid week with a few revisions that I'll be glad to write updates on as soon as the weather cooperates.
