Random Quote: But Honey, we really needed that new rod..........
Here is a shot of the VV, there are two things I would like to see changed on the VV. A way to see individual fuel burn and a way to monitor the voltage of house batteries. My VV used to have condensation inside it for the longest time but that has finally cleared up.
is that 65 the top speed you should be running with trip Verado 300's considering Brett ran 72 with trip Yam350's? Is it a prop issue?
Just got back a few minutes ago, and the progress on the boat is excellent. The pictures I took are not. I had to use a cheapee that did not like the light conditions, but at least I was able to get some updates. Here goes.
The top is one, drilled, and being fitted as I type this with all the antenaes, etc.
This is taken looking down and aft into the anchor locker, this is the EZ Anchor puller.
Bad pic of top looking forward, only one that turned out at all though.
Starboard tackle drawer on side of leaning post.
Port side leaning post.
Close up of hole for outrigger.
Lighting.
Broader view.
More stuff waiting to get installed.
Combing pads waiting their turn.
Next pics will hopefully be in the water next week.

I dont want to de rail Detour's thread but thats running 87 octane and stock props, not labbed. Could I get more speed? Yes, if I wanted to.
Boats almost finished Detour, looks great.
Nice boat, best of luck with her. Flir might spot a boob job,but can't spot lobster pots. After using this thing for most of the summer,it just reinforced my faith in a good radar.Nice toy though...

No lobster pots down here, as long as I can see the unlit channel markers, I'll be happy!
I see how you are man, you get to take video in butter and want me to take it in snotty stuff.....
We just had a cold front move through, 5-8 footers. I plan on running it down from the factory, a little over 75 miles. If I had gotten the boat this weekend, that would have been quite the ride to video. Hopefully I'll have the butter you shot in!
Thats a big boat for that lake you were runing in.

agreed....should take this to the other thread.....but you are already at 6000rpm with stock props
1. wow!
2. wow! (great build pics thanks!)
3. how do the fishbox gaskets attach? they look trick compared to most.
4. is there decicated storage somewhere for 6-8 type I offshore PFDs??? (they are large and take up a ton of space -IMO not enough big CCs have good storage for them that is organized and accessible - 6-8 of them requires a space that is about 4-5 cu ft...
5. YF and the other premium CC manufacturers have got to go to Stidd and have them build an integrated armrest double and triple seat that is worthy for these $300-500k boats....I m sorry but while the Todd is nice it cannot hold a candle to the Stidd...
6. wow....

Reason: typo...

It should work well for that.We travel 20 miles(in the dark) til open water through a bay that is littered with pots and could'nt really pick them up at all.
The camera is very cool to use and the pan/tilt moves very quickly.

Not sure about the 42, but on the 36 and 34 you can fit 6 type 1 offshore PFDs on one of the two forward shelves built into the bow. The optional shelf covers are white mesh that cover them up for aesthetics but also let that area breathe so they stay dry. Really handy storage that keeps the PFDs readily accessible.
That's a real pretty boat. One of the members of my fishing club has the 42 with quads....the thing is a screamer. Six people on board fishing and never rub elbows.
Hopefully this was my last dry week to go to the factory. The work is coming along steadily. There is still a lot to be done to turn this project out mid week.
Here are some photos from today showing a lot of the top and mountings, and a few inside and misc. pics. Enjoy.
