RE: surveyor glad to help, you should get a written evaluation of the boat-pros and cons and pictures. This will help in negotiations on the boat and the insurance company will want a copy too when you insure.

make sure you are "comfortable" with the surveyor-when I hired mine I made sure he knew I will be looking over his shoulder (I'm not the average boat owner) and that I will be asking alot of questions-he is a very secure guy and had no problems with my "request". Matter fact we clicked so well we kinda played good cop/bad cop in the negotiations and it helped alot.-I have rec. this guy to others-got him thru Boat U.S. very reputable. It made the boat buying fun even though I had to drive 100 miles to the see the boat (one way). He made it worth it. He also accompanied the seller and myself for the in water test on the Hudson in March and the day was nasty. |
