Default Mako 233 walk-around and Mako quality?

Hello,

A couple of years ago, I was looking at the Mako 233 walk-around at the Bass pro shop in my area. It looked nice and the quality looked pretty good too. It turns out, Mako doesn't build the "233" anymore...

Whats your opinion/experiences on Mako quality, and the 233 if your familiar with the model? Thanks.

Those newer Mako 232 center consoles and 233 walkarounds are pretty nice boats.* They are heavy though and a 225 is merely adequate for power.

HELLO, I HAVE A MAKO 282 AND HAVE NOT BEEN HAPPY WITH THE QUALITY OF THE BOAT. MY BOAT IS A 1998 MODEL WITH MAJOR CRACKING PROBLEMS ON AND AROUND THE TRANSOM. THE MAKO OF OLD WAS A BOAT OF QUALITY ,BUT NOT ANY MORE IN MY OPINION! P.S. THEY DON'T MAKE THE 282 ANY MORE!!

I have a 2002 Mako 232 CC with 250 rude - absolutely no problems with hull or power.

Mako and SeaCraft are both made in the same factory in the South(N) Carolina now. I had heard they had some problems druing the move/transition but would think they have it worked out by now. I have a 1989 23WA Seacraft from the Tampa Fl factory have not had any problems with boat itself.

96 232 with bracket....tough hull and holding up well......225 is only adequate power.

Thank you for the replies! I've always thought Mako was a good boat company... (I wonder why, I don't see them at the boat shows in my area, Annapolis, Md.) I did a search on this site and it sounds like Tracker is ruining the brand, any thoughts? Thanks.
