VA to Charleston on the ICW

A buddy and I are planning a trip to run a 29 Scout outboard from the Potomac River to Charleston, SC. This will be a pleasure cruise to get the boat to warmer weather for the winter, we will continue to FL when things get too cold in Charleston.

Does anyone have recommended places to check-out on the way? Places to stay the night, eat/drink, or simply see are appreciated.

Here is our ruff itinerary:
Alex to Va Beach on Thursday
Va Beach to Beaufort on Friday
Beaufort to Wrightsville on Sat
Wrightsville to Charleston on Sun

Coinjock marina, get the roast beef! I like Rudee inlet alot, but thats outside. I like Oriental, kinda quiet i think, havent stopped in years. other than that, we stopped at beaufort docks in beaufort. used to go over to morehead city side, forget what it was called. town docks or something? right next to the sanitary restaurant. only stopped in wrightsville once or twice at the marina just south of the bridge on the west side.
