I doubt that is his boat. Why own a boat when you can call one of your booster buddies and go fishing on thier boat and thier $$$?

Top 5 teams in the SEC this year, in no particular order...

LSU
OLE MISS
ALABAMA
FLORIDA
GEORGIA

LSU is the only one that plays all 4.

I doubt that's Les Miles' boat but I wouldn't know. The jury is still out on Miles. This year will tell the tale. Another hint of mediocrity and it'll be bye-bye.

The sec west looks like a toss-up between Bama, LSU, and Ole Miss. I give a slight edge to Ole Miss because of the weakness of their schedule and they have a proven qb, while Bama and LSU have newbies. Plus both games will be played in Oxford.

For the complete package in a college football team this year, look no further than the Florida Gators.

Nice looking boat - that tower is a heck of a climb. Weird those 3 antennae that are facing forward - I guess he has a clearance issue somewhere, but to run with them in that position will stress those mounts pretty darn quick -
I guess he can afford new ones - weird I always spot little things like that - after the "bookends" in the first picture of course

Wow how about that? I'm starting to think it isn't his either. Just doesn't add up, really. But anyway, who knows?

But that aside, I'll just let the Tigers do the talking on the field. Last year's sub-par year is a credit to Miles, IMO, because it was a result of him kicking our starting QB off the team for disciplinary reasons... leaving us with no QB. That is a credit to Les to basically sacrafice an entire season to maintain the integrity of the program. I know there are plenty of coaches out there who wouldn't have done that. This year we'll be back to LSU football, believe me.

No idea who the people are in the first photo, maybe they have something to do with the boat. Next are Les , son ben, daugther macy, wife kathy, and daughter smacker + 2 others I dont know. Manny is missing.

Ill ask his wife tomorrow whose boat it is.

just an observation, few boat owners besides women, would wear a swimsuit on a boat, its not like you gonna swim usually, especially not in nasty La water.

Those pictures weren't taken in Louisiana. From the slide in the background of the first pic I would say the pictures were taken at Crab Island. The boat is kept in Orange Beach, AL.

yeah, I noticed that. wont find pleasure boats around here in the salt.

I dont think Les has time to be a boat owner though, especially not a boat like that. His job is very very time consuming, year round.

"damn he makes that much? That is a 3 to 4 million dollar boat"

Yep he makes that much in 1 year, probably more with endorsements. Urban just got a raise to $4 million, I believe Miles and Saban both have clauses that gurantee they make at least as much as the highest paid coach in the SEC. It's big business down here and Meyer is worth every penny for what kind of $$$ the program is bringing to UF right now, even in this economy.

Go Gators, see you boys in the fall in DV, should be a good one.

BTW--this might be a good thread to mention that I host a HUGE tailgate party near Tiger Stadium every week. Any THTers are welcome, especially the out of towners. If you're ever in the area PM me

The only figures I could find are for 2005-2006 and the UF football program was "worth" $76mil that year. I have no problem with the face of the program making 5%-7% of that.

UGA was "worth" $84mil.

I'm sure most of those values are 15% higher today in 2009.

yep, mid 90's boat. the one i was on was a '98, you can tell by the tear drop windows. i think thats the year they changed them. i think they stopped the 60 shortly after they came out with the 630. it had 3412's and custom interior. Man, that boat could run!
