Default Polar 2310 Do I want one?

I have the itch for a Polar 2310 Bay boat. I have compared looked priced and wished. They look great in photos have not ridden in one looked at a 20fter looked good but not what I want like other things just too short(sigh). I have read that some of the early models had gel coat problems and some had structural issues 04-05 some not all. Is this common to these boats or is it common in other brands as well. I guess what has me considering these boats is the Carolina flared bow. Looks like a dry ride. I am talking with a gentleman in Ga. that has a 07 model 2310 wtih 24 hours on the motor for $30,000 225 Yam 4 strk T top trolling motor and trailer I would like some opinions on the boat as well the price.

Default Pollar Boats

Correct on the 04-05 gel coat problems. We have a 2008 23CC and the gel-coat, quality of the boat, structure are fine. Infact, ours is a replacement of the bad 2004 we had and there is a night and day difference. Just wish we had the time to enjoy it as we started out in 04.

ThomD - did you end up getting the Polar? I looked at one today in VA with low hours on the motor - a 225 Honda. Did not wet-test it yet. Curious as to your experience thus far if you did purchase it.

Also looked at a NauticStar Bay 2200 - seemed a little more "solid" than the Polar (I noticed some things on the Polor felt a little cheap), although to be fair I did not get to really check out the Polar as it was still partially covered, sitting on the trailer, etc. I agree I definately like the layout & storage.

Curious as to what cruise & WOT speeds the boat gets with the 225 Yama.
