Saturday Fishing Well I did it again today, seems like every now and then I have to give fishing on the weekend a try. Usually just about the time I am at the ramp I get reminded why it is I don't like to fishing on Saturday.
Picture a four slip boat ramp, with one boat being worked on, cause it hasn't been used in two years and the ignoramus that owns it really thought he would just hook up and go fishing. The second slip tied up with some ones wife holding a bow line with the attached boat cat-a-corner across the slip. I have no idea where hubby was, she was there when I got to the launch and she was there when I left. Third ramp, "Ole Rastus" is trying to get the boat off the trailer, having a hard time, backwards and forwards it just won't come off, guess somebody needs to tell him to take the tie downs off. Fourth ramp. that's the one everybody is trying to use, big time traffic jam.
Boy I sure like my 4str engine, bought it so I didn't have to smell burnt oil. Should have saved my money. The American Cancer Society would have shut the landing down if they would have seen the smoke. Why can't these guys ever measure there oil. Smells like they are burning rubber tires. And the noise don't even want to talk about it.
Why is it when I am fishing in a large waterway (1/2 mile wide) boats still have to pass within 50' of me. I guess they want me to smell the smoke again, just in case I hadn't smelled enough already.
Had one guy this morning follow me out of the launch, followed me to every spot I fished, followed me back to the landing this afternoon. Hell got so used to him following me I found it strange that he wassn't behind me when I backed into my driveway.
In case ya'll hadn't noticed I forgot to take my dose of tolerance before I left home this morning. Damn I am glad I do shift work, most of my fishing is done during the week.
Did catch 3 nice speckled trout, kinda hoped for more, but with the boat traffic, wind, and the village idiots running loose, I should consider myself lucky to get home.
