Well, they're pretty good boats and I haven't heard anything negative... I can't positively comment on them though..

look like nice boats, never ridden on one. the only negative I could gather by looking at it, was no high speed pickup for the livewells.

You have chosen the right boat from the wrong company. I hate to say that because I am from Louisiana and the Bay Stealth is built in Louisiana. The model you mentioned has been their best boat yet; however, in general, the Bay Stealth is a very wet ride (ask Capt Brandon on this site). A lot of Louisiana charter captains used to fish out of them, but you don't see them as the boat of choice any more. You can look at the entry of the Bay Stealth models and see that they will be wet. The bay stealth is a nice looking boat and well laid out, but the wet ride, lower resale value and relatively high cost make them a fourth or fifth choice behind Sea Pro, Sea Hunt, Pathfinder and Cape Horn (in no particular order). If you are looking for more info on the Bay Stealth, you might want to check out a Louisiana fishing site called Rodnreel.com. You can search old posts regarding the Bay Stealth and you should find some interesting info. In addition to the wet ride, I have also heard that they have a problem with hatches coming loose. Best of luck to you.

They are a mid tier boat. They ride wet in a chop like said before and the fit-n-finish is ok. There is much worse but there also is better made cc boats. Lots of choices and so little time

i like mine. slightly wet ride in a chop. lots of storage. only problem i know of was an expanding gas tank which caused it to leak. it was replaced under warranty, but took a few weeks. it's very roomy and comfortably fishes 4. the 200 vmax works well for it. pm me if you want more info.

bob, you might want to check out the bluewave boats lineup. they are the number one sold boat in TX and LA. very similar lines to the vip, but I guess they sell more in the state that they are built in. I see you are from st. pete, you might want to go over the bridge to tampa and check the the FL extreme 22ft model at t.a. mahoneys. I have ridden on the demo boat a few times now and have been impressed every time.
