Default Yamaha 25 hp prop size

I have a Yamaha 25 hp 2 stroke that is on a small skiff (probably a litttle over powed for the boat). I use the boat for running a crabbing trotline and the boats runs a little fast down the line at idle. Can i change props to lower my speed at idle and if so do i increase or decrease prop pitch??

Decrease the pitch and you will move slower. However, you will achieve a higher rpm when you are wide open. Possible to over rev that little beast when you are cruising.

Unlikely that you have a tach on it to tell.

I have one of these on a 14' fiberglass skiff and it is a great little rig!
