Default Gaffrig Controls Install

So I finally got my Gaffrig Controls this week. They had been on back order for the last two months. Twin controls with a single trim switch. My question is this. Can I run both trim controls thru this one switch or is there anything special I need to do this?

You can run both trim units thru the one switch. You will however need a diode kit for the trim wires. These will stop backfeed thru the wires when you want to trim the units individually. If not they all will trim no matter what trim button you press. The diodes keep everything in order. Gaffrig should have these kits. When you order them make sure you get minimum of 4. One for each up and down wire if its a twin engine boat.

So you're saying that the switches on the motors will trim both motors also.

I hope you don't want to control both motors from a single switch. I'd reccommend a switch for each motor...

Yesif you do not have the diodes in place and just hook up the wires to the trim motors. Then you can never make them even if one happens to trim slower than the other. You definetely need the diodes and all will be good. If you need more insite on this call me and I can explain more over the phone.
