Default Rail Mount Anchor holder

Anybody have a recc. for a rail mount anchor holder? I want to put a small Danforth type on the bow rail as a backup anchor. Looks like there are two or three main types on the market. Just wondered what has worked well for others. Or maybe someone has come up with their own idea that has worked well.

I tried one as a place to hang my anchor when moving from spot to spot. The problem is it leaves the chain hanging and banging around.

Our main anchor is a 22# Delta on the windlass. The spare anchor is a Danforth 12H, in a bracket on the rail. The spare rode, chain and shackle is under the "V" berth, so just a few minutes to bend it on and have the spare ready. The hose section is attached to the opposite vertical stanchion, to protect the gelcoat. Just lower the anchor shank into the hose, then into the bracket.

The bracket is the Windline PM1 for a horizontal rail, and the PM2 for a vertical rail.

Brian, the 12H is exactly the spare that I have. Does the PM1 work well? The anchor hitting on the bow rails was one of my big concerns. Either the shank or the flutes look like they will be hitting on my rails. I suppose elect tape or pipe insulation would take care of that issue, but was wondering if anyone had come up with another idea.

I have one of those on my Wahoo. I put the chain in the rope guides near the bow cleat and they don't move around too much. I'll never have a boat without one!

This is on an alloy boat with the anchor tube welded on. The carpet in the tube prevents movement & noise. You can just see some heavy duty clear hose on the rail forward of the anchor. The anchor is always lashed down (not shown) & is easy to deploy. If you have SS bowrails you could get a SS heavy wall pipe welded on.
I normally anchor over reef so this is what I mainly use.
