Default Old chris craft marine engine

I just bought a 1958 19’ Lyman with a Chris craft marine engine. The previous owner said the engine was running hot. I would like to have it overhauled by a mechanic that Specializes with these engines. I would appreciate any suggestions/comments or any advice.
Thanks
