Default 27 stamas express vs grady white 265 express

Hello i am just about to buy a used boat, and i think the prfect size for me is 26-28 feet long. The 2 boats i think will satisfy me the are: Stamas 27 express and the grady white 265 express. I am very confuse in making my final descition so please help to make my final and correct choice. For example the stamas has more sleeping capacity but the grady is some serious fishing machine, please help make the correct descition.

Thank you

Buy them both and sell the one you like least after a year! <JOKE>

It depends on your needs. If you are hardcore about the fishability of the Grady, then it's a no brainer. Are you going to sleep on the boat?

I can't speak for the Stamas but I own a 2000 265 Express.
I think it's the best overall 26' cabin boat around! Very fishy
and fast enough for me in conditions I fish in.

I was very close to purchasing a Stamas 270 express earlier this year. Very well build and high quality. Also very spacious and comfortable. There were two reasons I did not purchase it. 1) Very stable ride, but tough ride in chop over 2 feet. 2) the pulpit would have cost me an extra 2 feet of marina fees.
Overall I think it is very good. If your plans are mostly cruising and going out on the rough stuff often, this is a great choice.

I also considered the Gady 26 Express, but the cost difference was too much for less comfort and less efficiency, since the Stamas is also high quality. That said, the Grady would be my choice if the seas demand it.

BTW, I ended up with a 26 Hydra, which is a good blend of both of these.

Than you for your advice micuri. I live in yucatan, mexico, and here when you go offshore get tough, i think the grady wins in consruction but it has less space than the stamas.

Also consider the Grady Sailfish 28 or the Pursuit 28 as well. You will get more space.

I looked at both of these boats a couple years ago, and the Stamas had a much better layout. I preferred the Stamas, but of course you can't go wrong with a Grady.
