How can you justify this?

My wife and I work together, side by side, about 18 hours a day 4 days a week. We have a 9 month old. I've worked, non-stop, since I'm 14 years old -- I'm almost 40. I went to school full time, both undergrad and grad, while working full time.

I watch people around me, they don't spend any time with their kids. Friend of mine goes days without seeing his own kid. (in bed when comes home, still sleeping when he leaves).

I know it may be a stupid justification, but when you're gone the kids get some money, but they keep the memories forever.

That's why I spent the money.
