My all time fishing favorite: Breaded, fried chicken cutlet on a kaiser with sliced open pepperoncinis layed flat on top.

Went to the Tortugas with 5 guys on an Andy Griffith's trip - fried up 5 pounds of cutlets to bring along

Tough to do on a boat.. Most people don't know that a true Phily Cheesesteak is made with cheese whiz. Yuk... I make mine with Cooper extra Sharp and in the summer NJ Tomatoes and a little mayo, raw or fried onions.. when I was 18-20 I used to cook at a chessesteak joint at the shore. Made 6-800 of them a night..

PB&J since I was a kid. I have never lost my taste for 'em. I'll make 'em the night before, vacume pack 'em in a zip lock baggie. When I open one up, it's got a nice cold chill to it and the jelly is slightly soaked through the bread (rasberry Jelly WITH the seeds! I am a whole wheat/multi-grain brade guy, EXCEPT for my boating PB&J samiches...they HAVE to be on Pepperidge Farm White...again, goes back to my childhood days) I love to wash 'em down with a hot cup of coffee...I'll take a bite, chew a bit, then a sip of coffee and chew it up some more & swallow/repeat . I LOVE the taste of the PB& J mixed with my specially brewed coffee.
I'll make about 15 if I have a friend along(If my guest doesn't like pb&j, I'll make whatever they prefer) or about 10 to 12 if I'm alone. I'll usually eat two or three before I ever hit the water if I'm hauling to a distant ramp, one if a close ramp & 2 before sunup once I launch. I also stock up on Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies, also good with coffee
I'm a simple guy, simple taste. Not that I don't love to grill, I DO! Durining the summer heat, I grill about 90% of ALL the families food outside, full meals, very healthy. But, when I'm on the boat, I really don't want to be bothered grilling, I'm fishing. I gobble up my samiches & keep on gettin' it!! I imagine if you have several people aboard, then grilling makes more sense & is alot easier, one person grills while the rest continue to fish, or everyone can take turns. Of course on any over night or extended trip a grill is a MUST have for sure.

Dude, you ain't right!

The fried chicken cutlet with peppers sounds good, kind of a compromise on fried chicken (which seems very popular) and a sandwich. I would think the kaiser roll holds up well too. I'll try it!

I boil up shrimp the night before, home made cocktail sauce.
A couple of PB&J sandwiches for mid morning.
Maybe some cold fried chicken and potato salad...
Then on the way back in I will pull out 1 beer for the ride home.

Just say "no" to pre cut meats.

Trivia: What does "BMT" stand for?

hey, my fish eating days are over. i picked up a seafood allergy about 6 years ago. but my all time favorite was tuna salad the way my mom fixed it. tuna, mayo, chopped lettuce, tomato, celery, red onions, and sicilian green olives. put that in a separate container and bring the fresh bread - none of the wonder bread stuff. it took literally less than a minute to throw a couple of sandwiches together on the water.

you ny and jersey guys have my mouth watering with the hard salamis....please don't that out of context lol.

Peanut Butter and Jelly. However the “Jelly” must be Tomato Preserves, boy oh boy, that’s good.

Cold, fried or baked, Rabbit. Chicken will do if Rabbit not available. We eat lots of Rabbit at our house.......... Day before bought KFC also acceptable.

For some dumb reason or other I must have potato chips on a fishing trip. Don’t eat ‘em any other time.

Wife says I would catch twice as many fish if I wasn’t eating all the time.
