Default Merc 150 EFI oil lines

I have twin merc 150 efis on a 23’ seacraft. When I tilt the motors up the tie bar connecting the two motors squishes the bundle of lines and hoses running to the starboard engine against the splashwell. The oil line got squished in the same spot repeatedly and has sprung a leak. The oil hose is a double hose with one half carrying oil, and the other being a vacuum (I presume). I called the

Merc dealer in the area and he wanted to sell me the hose for $58 for a 10’ hose. The hose has to run more than 10’ from the oil tank in the console to the motors so I would have to buy two and connect them. There has to be another, standard hose that I could use. There is no reason that the two parts of the oil line need to be connected is there?

Does anyone know the inside diameter of the oil hose? I am an hour from the boat and would like to pick up or order some replacement hose before heading back to the boat on Thursday afternoon.

Thanks as usual.

I think you should be fine, I think that twin hose was just to make it a clean install - I have one but no clue on the hose dia - maybe just cut it where it leaks and use 2 straight hose fittings - I'm thinking maybe 1/4" they aren't that big. That at least takes the new hose out of it
