Default 27' Maycraft

Curious about how a 27'cc Maycraft rides, in all conditions.

the "Treeman" in Gloucester VA has a 27 Maycraft, with a 225 Merc. good fishing boat in the bay. Been on it in 3 to 5 footers and rode fine. Great fishing boat, very stable.

I have seen the 25ft with a single 225hp but never the 27fter with a single 225hp? Are you sure its not a 25ft? B-Faithful is the expert of the Maycraft. They are fine boats.

I hope that you get some more input. My youngest son bought a 1 yr old Maycraft 27' pilothouse over the winter so it's not been run yet. (other than basic sea trial) Next couple of weeks, hopefully. I'm presuming that it is the same hull. 18 degree deadrise, I believe. His boat has twin 200s though.

I have a friend who guides on the Santee Cooper Lakes runs a 27' Maycraft with a 225 Optimax.I've been on his boat in 30+ mph winds and it was awesome. What a great boat.
