Suzuki DF225 Prop

Anyone running these? What size prop are you using on it?

Mine came with a 3-15-21. She gets 5500 rpm at WOT and getting about 45mph GPS. Boat is a Mako 2201 Bay weighing probably about 3500lbs with a T-Top.

Get's out of the hole pretty good in normal circumstances but just wondering if I am optimized. When trying to get out of the hole in a stiff headwind the other day I noticed that it had a hard time doing so. The motor sounded like prop was slipping big time and the boat was not gaining ground speed.

They are made to swing a 16.5" prop. Mine turn right at 6000 WOT. I would say a bigger circumference prop 1st and then see where your WOT rpm's fall. You can turn higher than you are right now.

I have a df225 on my sv2400 bay boat. It has a 3-16-23 on it .Loaded down it will jump right up on plane and wot it runs 6000 - 6500 rpms and around 50-52.
