Default Performance Boat Trailers?????

Does anyone have any information on Performance Boat Trailers? Are they still in business? If not, were they bought out by another company?

Thanks for any help.

I've got one. I had some work done on it recently by a local shop, and they told me Performance went out of business. Not sure if they were bought out.

I just purchased boat/motor/trailer last week which has a Performance Trailer. There was a phone number for the dealer on the trailer, Bay Racer Marine 252-447-2277. I called them, I was told Performance went out of business and the same type model of tralier is being made by Road King.

Default Dura Bunk

I have a performance durabunk. They were made in FL. around Tampa somewhere. Went out of biz 05/06. They used common parts/assemblies from other manufacturers. Not hard to get parts

I have a Performance Trailer under my EdgeWater. The firm is defunct, but the trailer is awesome.

Yes, PERFORMANCE is gone.
The owner, a friend of mine since our teens, sold out. Our "teens" goe's back a whole lot of years.
New owners closed the business.
Really a shame.
Very good trailer.

I dont have it.
The new system on THT is giving me a few problems though. Not the systems fault, just my trying to come out of the stone age, messing with computers.

Sorry if this is a bit stale. Do you know who bought the company? I recently bought a used 27 ft boat with a Performance trailer and the VIN number is not readable. I am hoping that the company that purchased Performance may still have the records. In Louisiana I have to Register the Trailer and I need the VIN number.

Thanks.

Performance Trailers was sold. The new owner went out of business and liquidated the inventory to Venture Trailers. The original owner started Road King Trailers.

Is the VIN number unreadable because it is damaged, or you cannot find it. It took we quite a while to find the VIN on my performance trailer. They put info tag in a place that is really hard to see when the boat is on the trailer.

I have the same VIN problem with a Performance trailer I just purchased out of state. Georgia requires that a police officer verify the VIN and sign a form before I can register it.

Regretably PERFORMANCE is gone.
Has been for a couple years or so.
Good trailer too, it's a shame.

Part of my VIN was stamped into the frame, just above where the sticker is. Does yours have that?

When I bought my perf trailer I picked it up at the "factory" in St Petersburg, FL. While in the office I saw them print out a new sticker for a trailer. They were using a software application on a pc. If you could track down that database you might have a shot!
