Yamaha Y.E.S. Extended Warranties

There has been so much talk about pricing on Yamaha extended warranties here lately I added a page to our site listing discounted prices on them. Just wanted to let you know.

Yamaha wants $1870 for two years on a 200. That's a good price you're quoting there.

Something is weird. My local Yamaha dealer quoted me $2K for 3 yrs on my 03 250HPDI. Yamaha quoted $1650. I was amazed that Yamaha quoted the lowest price. Either way, too much. If I thought I'd spend that kind of money on repairs in the next 3 yrs, there'd be a different motor on my boat.

It was probably during this past boat show season. What they do is when they have that promotion where they are giving the warranty away they make their other warranties much cheaper. Then after the promotion they go back up. ( Normally all this is done without telling the Dealers )

My thoughts exactly…. As a matter of fact, that is what I told the guy when he called me to offer my last chance to purchase yes. With that said, had I bought the yes, it would have ran out 7 months ago… Now back to your theory, basically, my Yamaha blew up last month after 3 ½ years of normal usage. A rebuild was $6500. An injector froze up and made a piston throw. Had I purchased the warrantee, it would have ran out before my problems anyways…

My YES warranty just expired at the end of March. I wanted to get it extended for another 3 years but my dealer said it is only available on new motors. Anyone know if this is correct?
