Beautiful boat and it is a beast.....Plenty quick if that's what your into but not nearly as fast as some of the other large CC's with trips, etc nor as fast as a similar Contender/regulator. On the flip side the wide beam gives is great roll stability in a beam sea......Layout is fantastic.......Of course, you could pick up a used 360 for about the same $$ as a new 336.....

The specs are very close to my 3070 Pursuit's specs. Same beam and 4 inches longer than my boat. It's a bit heavier than the 3070, but with the 350's it will be fast enough for my taste. The 10'6" beam provides a lot of stability while drift fishing. If your friend is a bottom fisherman, he will love it. If he trolls most of the time and as a need for speed he should keep looking. I have a buddy with Contender's 33T. It's a great ride and worth a look.

No experience with the ride, but I have looked at one at the local dealer a number of times, awsome boat, seems huge for a 33' boat, the beam is 11' 7" as well which really helps to make it feel big. the cabin is very nicely laid out and seems like it would be usable.
Compared to the Edgewater 38' it seems like a bigger boat. Can't go wrong with Grady White either, everything about the design and construction is top notch.
