Default Yamaha Engine Control Module

For the second time now, I need to replace the Engine Control Module (ECU) on my Yamaha 115f 4-stroke outboard. Anybody else having such luck and where might I find a reasonably priced one?

What year? Whats the diagnosis?

In all the years, I have only replaced one ECM on a EFI 4-stroke Yamaha. And that engine still ran, but kept throwing a shift switch error. It had no effect on the engines running, but it was a USCG engine and they are fastidious type customers....... if you know what I mean.

It is a 2001 motor. The fuel pump had died and I guess this somehow caused the ECM to fritz out.

Scrag,

On the ECM there are some numbers. On yours it should say 68V- "something". What is the "something" number?

To bad you don't need a F150 ECM.........I have about 20 usedof those.

I thought I had a pair of used ECM's for a pair ofF115 from some warranty work way back, but I couldn't find them.

All I am going to be able to offer is a new part.
