Not crazy at all. Its only 32 feet. Not that big of a boat for todays standards of big CC's. The dealership we brought my friends 32 Reg for service trailers them with a 3/4 ton diesel truck. I would reccoment a 1 ton though.

Thats one of the great advantages of sticking with that configuration.

Having looked at a 32 in person, and then looking up the specs, there's no way that I would consider regular trailering of that boat to be practical.....10.5 ft. beam, gross weight with trailer of maybe 14,000 lbs. I admit that I'm guessing on the weight, but that boat is a beast. There are many rural roads where I pull my boat that the the travel lane (from yellow line to white line) is only 9 ft.

Sure you could do it, but it's not something that I would enjoy.

I trailer my 31 Contender frequently and have no problems at all. Given, the Rgulator is a bigger/heavier boat but I still dont think it would be a problem with the proper vehicle/equipment. If you dont have a diesel truck, i wouldnt even consider it. Cheers and good luck!

The 31 Contender is 6" longer, 1550lbs lighter and roughly 9" narrower. In the grand scheme of things, thats not much of a difference. Could be done very easily and comfortably.

i know lots of people who tow 38 fountain cc's with no problem. the key is to have the right equipment. ie: truck- f350, trailer with good brakes.

I say go for it. Get you at f350 or equal to pull it and a good set of trailer brakes. Just be sure of the trailering laws in your area.

My boat is a few lbs lighter and a few inches narrower and my old f-350 Powerstroke can get the job done. One of the previous posts is right, you are really pushing it on secondary roads. You've got to get proficient at keeping two wheels on the brink of leaving the shoulder. I even time departures from my home to lessen the liklihood of encountering a truck or RV on my road before getting to the open hwy. On the secondary roads, at my destinations, I find overhead clearance to be the biggest issue. However, once out of the sticks, the pucker factor lessens significantly. I always have a 6hr round trip tow and I consider it advanced trailering all the way. I make the journey about ten times a year. If you are not completely comfortable with trailering, it isn't for you. Oh, and by the way, the rig is overwidth everywhere and may be overweight in some states. Check with your DOT before you leave the dealership. Several restrictions will apply.

Just remember that this is not only a permit move but one that can only be done during daylight! If you are cautious that is a good trate to have, I run my own 55 ton Lowboy and i move equipment on main and back roads with some machines 14 Ft wide! If you are careful and safe you will not have a problem, good luck!

Yeah, it can be done. But it sounds like a lot of work between the driving, launching and pulling that beast out of the water every time you want to use it.

Its really not that big of a deal. No different than any other boat for that matter. You just have to be careful and know what you are doing. After you have done it two or three times it is old hat.
