Default dual inboard morse to yamaha outboard control

anybody have any sugestions on dual station , single engine , control alternative . i have yamaha f250 and kept the old morse twin lever control out of a inboard and everthing works fine except no nuetral saftey.but would really like to go to single outboard controls, but for dual station yamaha they now require a junction box [around 1000,00 + controls]. the old days controls you atached it like the moorse , one end of cable went to the rocker arm on the control and the other went to the top station , simple. i am just not crazy about spending 3000.00 , if there is anothier manafacturer doing it the old way? maybe mercury . any info would be great !
thanks

Short of an electronic control setup, the junction box is the only other way. I looked at my options regarding this a while back, and learned to love my Morse twin S setup...

the 2006 Yamaha Outboard Rigging manual Chap 13 discusses their system.
Have used it on two boats, but lots of Hours. It can be touchy, but after using the system for a long time ,we now know how it works and how to make adjustments.
It has lots of safety features. Looks like the engineers and the lawyers set down and designed it.

Here in the Keys I only know only 3 mechanics who really understand it. One mech says only one person understands it
in Kennesaw,GA.

I have seen the system adv. on ebay.

does your morse system use seperate seperate throttle and shift knobs.
years ago i road on a Merc. upr/lower station mechanical morse system. you pushed a mechanical slide bar to shift from lower to upper when in neutral. I believe the throttles were hooked together ,ie they moved moved together at upr and lower stations..

I have dual morse controlls mated to twin yami 150 HPDI motors. It does have a neutral safety as identified by the survey. It was set up prior to my purchase so I am not really familiar with the configuration used for neutral safety. I do have separate tilt/trim controlls as thay are not on the morse. Try Andy over at SIM.

You can use Morse "S" controls and Teleflex dual station transfer boxes that cable the binnacles in parallel rather than in series. Upper station connects to box, lower station ditto, either station pushes on the single cables going back to the motor, not on each other. I have a set if you're interested.
