Default Revere Liferaft...?

Want to know if anyone knows the difference between the coastal commander and the offshore commander? Both look identical, think the only difference is that the offshore model comes with more survival equip... Any diffrence in the actual raft??

Anyone own one of these?...looking for any comments on them...good, bad, wish you would have...etc.

Main differences are the offshore raft has an insulated floor, and more complete equipment pack. Most offshore fisherman get the coastal raft as your likely to get rescued pretty quick with your epirb. If you're crossing the atlantic and might be spending a few days in a raft the offshore commander is better suited. This is also largely based on opinion. Some offshore fisherman insist on the offshore raft.

A very good explanation...

I own the Coastal Commander and I actually had to use it in the worst situation. It worked perfectly as promised. Can't recommend it more highly than that. I see you are in Montauk, I would opt for the insulated floor there. I live in Florida. Can't go wrong with Revere or BOE but whatever you do, get a raft.

Amen I have the offshore. As a pro captain said to me "when you need it will you worry about having too much raft ?".

One other important difference is there is a big difference in the material used. The offshore is much more puncture resistant and is made better than the coastal. It really depends on where you plan to fish and if you had a catastrophic situation and had to use the raft how long it would take to be located and rescued. Also really depends on water temps as the offshore has the double floor that has an air pocket in between.

i think a few of you are getting confused with the models I'm asking about...The Offshore Commander is a new one from revere, the picture looks identicle to the coastal commander...
