Just about to buy a 1995 parker 21 walkaround with a gal trailer and 150 yamaha.
I'm seeking general comments about this boat - ride / construction/ etc- and opinions on if the 150 hp 2 stroke: is to small for this boat?
The boat is clean - has not been run in 2 years and needs a new cushions for the seats - other then that she looks good.
Also, anyone know why parker stopped building them?
Quit selling them to lack of demand. Their pilot house boats have become much more popular. I have a 2000 Parker WAC 2110 which is what you are asking about. It is a well made, no frills boat. I have a 225 hpengine and wouldn't want any less than 200hp. By time you get it loaded with fuel (105 gal), gear, and people I think you need at LEAST 200. The ride can be a little rough but this is true of all walk arounds due to being so far forward in the boat. That said, the ride is easily controlled by trim tabs and not being a speed demon. I really like walk arounds and would buy another Parker in a minute. In fact, I wish I had the 25' WAC but who doesn't want a few extra feet in a boat or a few extra inches else where? LOL
I had a 99' 2110 WA with 150 Yam 2 stroke. The boat was a tank but definitely no frills, not much storage and would have liked more power. With a full tank of gas and few people it plowed a bit getting on plane. The boat is a deep vee but due to the fairly light weight, it will pound a bit (not as bad as a the sim PH) and it is tender at drift as well. You must have tabs to get your optimum ride and with a 100gal fuel tank (about 800lbs) I felt the ride was affected quite drastically based on the amount fuel onboard relative to the total weight of the boat. I moved up to the 2510XLD WA and it is a totally different, heavier, beamier and the ride is great in comparison. Good luck.
Another factor for the 150 back in that year .....There were some dealers that offered the oil injected motors where you had a seperate oil tank .....Other dealers here in the N.E. did not trust the oil injected motors and rigged the 2110's with motors whereby you had to mix the fuel and oil together in the fuel tank ....Not sure which you would prefer , but I like the oil injected motors ....You can drain the old gas and use it later for whatever without worrying about it getting old ....Again, it's a preference thing.....Jim
I like the Parkers I have seen at boat shows - but really I think that a 21 foot WAC is just too small. The cuddy will be tiny, yet it will take up a lot of room in the boat. The open area for fishing or whatever will be a lot smaller.
Nobody will want to be in the cabin while underway.
Most, if not all, small cuddy boats I have seen only use the cabin as an oversize storage area for life jackets, fenders, tools, flares, towels, and so on.

I'd skip it and look at a 21' pilot house model.
The 21' parker pilot house has lots of fishing room
for a small boat and the cabin on either is no big deal.
