My wife was wanting to get a bow cushion for our Keywest 225. When we called the dealership we found that it will cost over 350 dollars. I then looked into getting a couple of marine bean bags instead. I think they would fit behind the leaning post. I was just thinking of getting them for long trips with the wife and child, what do y'all think? What is the best company to get them from?
Target sells a small "L" shaped bean bag that is quite compact but still very comfortable. The three I have ride very well, yet are much easier to store than a round bag. I lost a pair to Hurricane Ivan, but have had these three since then. So far, they're holding up fine, so I haven't seen the need to buy "marine" bags. The guys love them for a long ride in our Kat, and my wife can sit in her chair in the bay boat and read while we run and fish. The three I bought were on sale, and are a light green (yep, ugly) but have held up very well.
I would definately advise you to go with the E-Searider bags (they are in the vendor section). I have had a ton of the regular beanbags, and they just donot hold up at all. Soon as I come up with the extra cash to buy a pair, I will (Tough decision between bean bags and Law school tuition.....). I have used them on a buddies boat, for about 4 seasons now, and tey look brand new!

I have two of the esearider bean bags and wouldn't trade them for anything. They are worth their weight in gold...depending on conditions. I've fell asleep in 4-6ft's going out of Oregon Inlet on a 26' Regulator.

I was on a E Sea rider on a recent trip. Big swells and the boat was going at a good speed but I was comfortable in them, even on the landings after I was airborne. The ones from wallymart will not last as long, as they are not made for the outdoors, and they loose their...cushioning, a lot faster.

Look up E sea riders in the vendor forum here and give them a call. I found their staff to be very helpful and open to any questions. They will ask you the right questions on how you'll use their product and honestly answer your questions about size and capacity with no b.s. As for comfort; what everyone else has said - great place to cruise or doze! Wife just added her two cents, said, "I love em!"
I have 2 large teardrops that I finally broke down and bought after buying the walmart and target bags for the past 3 years. I figured at 30 bucks a pop I have gone through an average of 2 a season. It was an easy decision since e-sea rider has a lifetime warranty that covers pretty much anything except losing it.
It's the best money I ever spent. The wife will actually go to sleep in it with me running 35 mph in short 2-3 seas. No more "slow down!!". Just snores!!
